Sound and lighting equipment for theater
Theatrical performance is a kind of unique and very peculiar synthesis of various types of art. This includes artistic reading, acting, singing, elements of ballet and even painting. Therefore, the choice of equipment must be treated with understanding and seriousness.
The basis of equipment for any theater is sound equipment. It is somewhat different from similar equipment of clubs and concert organizations. The main difference lies in the microphone park. On the theater stage they should not be visible - otherwise the perception of the production may be disrupted (unless the microphones are objects of theatrical surroundings). Most often, microphones in the theater are made quite sensitive and suspended on the ramp, without attracting the attention of the audience. Lapels and other similar systems are used extremely rarely in the theater.
In general, theater sound equipment includes an analog or digital mixing console, sound reproduction equipment, cables, high-quality acoustics and microphones.
When equipping the auditorium, special attention is paid to light. Lighting equipment for the theater should provide the possibility of a variety of effects that complement the course of the production, painting certain pictures. Equally important is the ability to control spotlights, spotlights, and ramps remotely – from the operator’s seat.
Lighting and sound are the most expensive pieces of modern theater equipment. Installation of sound and light in the theater should be performed only by high-level professionals. Otherwise, there is a high possibility of errors that lead to unpredictable results.
