The new Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50 speaker kit consists of three segments, all three components are powered by a 1000 W Class D amplifier and is controlled by the Electro-Voice QuickSmart DSP system. System composition:

• active subwoofer with 12” woofer, housing made of 15 mm plywood, operates from 37 Hz;
• The connecting post between the subwoofer and the HF component is fixed in the subwoofer using a magnet, and the top is held in place by its own weight. Inside the rack there is a patch cable for the RF component of the speaker system;
• The high-frequency component consists of eight neodymium speakers with a diameter of 3.5", forming a line array type, the power of the 8 speakers is matched to the power of the 12" low-frequency component. The new EVOLVE 50 system provides a sound pressure level of 127 dB. Each 3.5" speaker features a waveguide that shapes the high-frequency range to create a horizontal dispersion angle of 120°, but vertically the sound energy flow is distributed asymmetrically with a predominant downward tilt, with a vertical dispersion angle of 40° for greater coverage of the seated and/or standing public. The array is encased in durable ABS plastic.

    All components are supplied in transport cases, which primarily protects the appearance of the speaker systems during rental activities.

The built-in processor is easy to configure using factory-installed presets based on type of use: Live, Speech, Music, Club. Also in the settings there is an equalizer, a user settings manager, Delay, +15V phantom power, limiter indication, input level adjustment and output signal level adjustment.

The newest feature in Electro-Voice speaker control is the Electro-Voice QuickSmartMobile mobile app. The connection passes through Bluetooth® Low Energy (BTLE) technology, allowing wireless control of six EV EVOLVE 50 sets simultaneously and with the ability to transmit high-quality audio signals, it will be useful for use in any task, for Event companies, musicians and presentations.

The EVOLVE 50 sound system is designed from the ground up to set a new, uncompromising standard for the sound delivery of compact speakers, while delivering Electro-Voice quality and rich functionality in a smaller package. This sound system is used:

• musical groups;

• presenters of various events;

• DJ for holding discs, presenters;

• and anywhere that requires performance from a sound system in a lightweight, low-profile format with powerful sound.

This sound system solves many problems with its performance-to-weight ratio: a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB and a total package weight of 35 kg. Along with the highest SPL and widest coverage, EVOLVE 50 delivers clear voice reproduction for presentations, conferences and speaking events. 

New components and tweaks deliver full-size audio from the sleek EVOLVE 50 form factor. As you'd expect from global manufacturer Electro-Voice, precise, linear response occurs at the system's highest output levels. The wide horizontal and asymmetrical vertical HF angle eliminates sound energy leakage, so exceptional audience coverage and sound clarity are possible from front and side, floor or stage mounted. Extensive testing of the internal custom components, amplifier signal processing module and equipment enclosures has been performed to requirements exceeding industry norms to ensure that this system is the most reliable loudspeaker system offered today - both structurally and technically sonically.

Every detail of the Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50 system implements the “plug and play” principle - plug and play. Installation of the system is easy and quick thanks to the connecting stand.

The input panel, easy to access for setup and patch connections, includes a best-in-class QuickSmartDSP interface with clear system parameter navigation via a one-button LCD display with multiple optimization settings and signal routing functions.

This system was presented by Electro-Voice (a division of the global company Bosch) at the exhibition of professional audio equipment in 2017.
