1927, Indiana. In the basement of a tire factory, several men in felt hats study blueprints. These were the first steps in the emergence of the global Electro-Voice brand. EV is a classic example of the American rags to riches tale, as today the company is considered one of the market leaders in audio equipment, speaker systems, microphones and radio systems, and its products are used all over the world. EV, a leading player in the audio technology market, equips cultural and sports institutions, churches, cinemas, clubs, theatres, train stations, airports and other public buildings throughout the world.

1934 - EV invents the AC hum-cancelling microphone coil, which is still in use today, 70 years later.
1940 - The microphone is equipped with an interference absorber, EV technologies bring revolutionary changes to the communication systems of aviation and tank forces.
1954 - EV developed "Variable-D" (bass control) technology to reduce low-frequency noise when using common unidirectional microphones. This allowed for clearer sound when using the microphone in churches for worship, conference rooms and other similar places.
1963 - EV receives the Academy of Science and Cinematography Award for his invention of the 642 Cardiline microphone, which significantly improved the sound quality of film.
1974 EV invents the constant directional sound receiver (CD sound receiver). Thanks to this, for the first time, it was possible to maintain the coverage area when broadcasting over a wide range of frequencies, providing clearer and more uniform sound and better speech perception for the audience.
1986 – EV revolutionizes the concept of enhancing concert sound quality with its Manifold technology. One speaker or subwoofer broadcasts with the performance of four loudspeakers. As a result, less bulky equipment produces 4 times louder and better quality sound, while eliminating distortion associated with the physical location of the speakers.
1990 – EV invents RMD (Ring Mode Docoupling) technology, a unique system that eliminates sound distortion and coloration of the sound by extraneous noise. Sound purity is achieved by minimizing the fundamental resonating frequencies.
2000 – EV invents the latest VOB (Vocal Optimized Bass) technology, which reduces noise at close proximity to the microphone, improves the listener's perception of sound and expands the potential sound of musical instruments. Another revolutionary achievement of the company is the invention of the industry-leading Clearscan wireless technology, which provides fast automatic selection of the best of 10 ultra-high frequency channels.
2001 – EV invents RACE (Real-time Acoustic Cluster Editor) technology, which allows the digital crossover and audio filtering system to be correlated with the actual sound of the speaker. This makes it possible to control and predict the magnitude, phase and directivity of complex loudspeaker antenna arrays.
2002 – EV launches IRIS (Intelligent Remote & Integrated Supervision), which combines remote amplifier control and complex RACE data processing to ensure a perfect match between the acoustic transducer parameters and the electrical parameters on which they depend.

EVI vari Intense
The unique EV EVI Vari intense loudspeakers are designed to avoid the clutter of additional equipment in large rooms. They are an economical solution for permanent installation in rectangular halls. Typically in such rooms, the distance from the speaker to the last row is 2 or more times greater than to the first row, which affects the volume and clarity of sound in the last rows. Loudspeaker VI provides an increase in sound pressure level in the rear rows by 6-8 dB, compensating for the loss of sound without the help of additional equipment. Thus, EV solves a problem as old as time in a new way. EVI is ideal for conference rooms, churches and other places where sound levels need to be distributed evenly throughout the room. The EVI speaker housing is made of 18 mm thick plywood (birch, 13 layers), the grille is treated with metal powder.
To calculate the range of an EVI, the following rough calculation applies: the width of the auditorium should be 2 times its height, and the length should be 3 times its height (see figure below).

If the installation height of the loudspeaker is H, then the length of the sound coverage area will be 3H, the width will be 2H, and the sound coverage of the first row will be 1H.

Mounting brackets
AB-34 and AB-64. Set with 360º rotation angle.
The AB-34 and AB-64 kits are 4-sided, powder-coated steel mounting brackets that allow you to mount up to 4 EVID speakers with up to 360º coverage. This mounting structure expands the applications of EVID speakers. The AB-34 mounting bracket is compatible with EVID 3.2 speakers and can be mounted to the ceiling using a rod. The AB-64 connects to EVID 4.2 or 6.2 and can be used in conjunction with a microphone stand or suspended from the ceiling using a rod as shown in the picture. The delivery set includes all necessary accessories and parts.
AB-32 and AB-62. Set with 180º rotation angle.
The AB-32 and AB-62 kits are 2-sided metal-plated mounting brackets that allow you to install up to 2 EVID speakers with a coverage area of up to 180º. The AB-32 mounting bracket is compatible with EVID 3.2 or 6.2 speakers and can be mounted to the ceiling using a rod. The speakers can be mounted at different angles to best suit your installation requirements. The AB-62 mounting bracket is compatible with EVID 4.2 or 6.2 speakers and can be used in conjunction with a microphone stand or suspended from the ceiling using a rod as shown. Horizontal table stand HS-3 series.
The HS-3 Horizontal Table Stand can be used to mount EVID 3.2 speakers. or 4.2 on tables, shelves, desks and other horizontal surfaces. Ideal for situations where portability and compactness are required. The structure is made of high-strength steel and equipped with rubber feet to protect the surface. The set includes 2 stands.
VS series vertical table stand.
The VS Series Vertical Tabletop Stand can be used to mount any EVID Extended Range speaker. Provides convenient use of speakers on a table, podium, shelf or other flat surface. Ideal for situations where portability and compactness are required. The stand is made of plastic-coated steel and is highly durable and reliable. The set includes 2 stands.

TC series protective covers for terminals.
TC-4 and TC-6 Series Terminal Covers protect EVID speaker connectors from the long-term effects of moisture. Terminal protective covers are supplied for EVID 4.2 models. and 6.2. The covers easily attach to the back of the speaker and feature a weatherproof cable connector.
Microphone stand holder MA-3.
The MA-3 microphone stand holder allows you to use EVID 3.2 speakers with a standard vertical microphone stand. The design of the holder, consisting of two halves, ensures a reliable connection to the microphone stand.

This series features top-notch EV components, including the DH2T compression amplifier and DL-type woofers, which are highly affordable. The Fri series models are the most valuable in situations where flexibility in installation type and high quality are required. The devices are mounted using multiple threaded holes, allowing the installation type to be varied to suit situational requirements. Fri Series models are finished in 13-ply birch plywood with a black acrylic finish and feature a black powder-coated metal grille. The creation of models in this series is based on the principles of safe installation and visual appeal. In addition, the FRI-122/64 and FRI-152/64 have the same height as the FRI-181S (711 mm), maintaining the design consistency of the series.

FRX+ systems
The FRX+ series systems are designed specifically for rooms where reverberation problems exist and tight control over the direction of sound waves is required. Conventional small speakers are unable to cover the range below 2000 Hz. The large beam width in the lower mid-frequency range is accompanied by serious distortion of the sound of speech and music in such rooms. FRX+ systems solve these problems by providing a high level of control over the direction of wide-frequency audio. With moderate overall dimensions, the speaker allows waves to propagate at small angles (up to 250 Hz) thanks to its coaxial design.
The FRX+ 640/660/940 cabinets are made from 7-ply plywood with a textured finish. The speaker is protected by a black powder-coated steel grille. The FRX-122 has a fabric-covered grille.

MH series stadium loudspeakers
The MH Series stadium loudspeakers are designed for large stadiums and arenas where sound clarity and directional control of sound waves from the lower midrange and below are absolutely essential. In 1974, EV pioneered the concepts of constant angle directivity (constant frequency speaker angles) and Manifold technology (combining the output power of multiple transducers into a single speaker). The MH Series large format loudspeakers have multiple built-in speaker/loudspeaker systems. The mid sized MH Series loudspeakers are suitable for smaller spaces or can be used to complement large format loudspeakers.
Medium sized MH series loudspeakers
The mid-size MH series loudspeakers feature high sound quality and unified directivity control at frequencies above 500 Hz. In the mid-bass range, the Aperiodic Enhancer tm phase amplifier is used, which combines the output sound with the sound of the high-frequency part of the speaker. The high-frequency part of the loudspeaker contains a small HP driver of EV's patented Transplanar tm design, which provides an unusually melodic frequency response. The main speaker cone is made of black polyester/fiberglass laminate reinforced with composite materials. Up to three devices can be connected in parallel in active or passive mode without exceeding the amplifier's minimum resistance.

Large format loudspeakers MH
MH large-format loudspeakers use Manifold technology, which provides high sound quality and the ability to control the directivity of the sound. Thanks to the wide horn connector, the beam width lies in the frequency range above 250 Hz, which prevents bass “mixing” and improves sound clarity. The high-frequency part of the loudspeaker uses a medium-sized HP speaker, to which 2-inch single or dual speakers of any design are connected, allowing the frequency response to be increased up to 20,000 Hz. Tweeters must be ordered separately. The dual speaker doubles the high-frequency sound power, which is important for large spaces. N/DYM speakers provide maximum sound power in the high octaves, which is important in situations where modern music needs to be heard over a long distance. The large horn size provides frequency response up to 100 Hz, eliminating the need to connect additional low-frequency equipment. In the mid-bass section, an Aperiodic Enhancer tm phase amplifier is installed, which provides increased high-frequency characteristics in the mid-bass section. The principle of its operation is based on the fact that at high frequencies only the tip of the cone is in motion, and therefore it automatically adjusts the acoustic load to maximum sound output. The main speaker body is made of solid black polyester and reinforced fiberglass. The internal protective grille built into the Manifold speaker protects it from mechanical damage. To obtain low-frequency sound (1 octave lower), it is recommended to use a low-frequency speaker (subwoofer) Rx 218S

RX-series
This series is designed as a flexible linear audio system driven by P-series amplifier controllers based on the world famous Precision Series TM. The RX Series models are built with the finest EV components, including the DH7 driver, which uses the same 3.5-inch driver as the popular ND-5 driver found in the X-ArrayTM Series. There are also new components in this series, including an ergonomic carrying handle that makes carrying easier, more comfortable and safer than using conventional handles. Precision TM amplifier controllers are the best choice for use with the RX series, but other high quality amplifiers can be used with an external controller (such as the DX 38). The RX Series models are best suited for situations where portability and professional audio quality are required, or where professional audio quality is required in indoor environments. RX Series models are constructed from black painted 18-ply plywood and are protected by a black powder coated metal grille mounted on a foam base. All low-frequency speakers (subwoofers) have an M20 meter pin built into the handle for mounting. It is also possible to install a steel rod M20 (PCL 880) with thread. All low-frequency speakers (subwoofers) can be equipped with wheels for transportation. The upper cabinets of the RX series models and the RX 218 S woofers (subwoofers) are equipped with mounts for L-Track equipment, used to move the loudspeakers through the air. The L-Track is mounted on the top and bottom of the RX 112/75 and RX 115/75 models. Two L-Track units are mounted on the top side of the RX 212/75 and the side of the RX 218 S. The new asymmetrical rotating CD loudspeaker allows the RX to be moved in horizontal, inverted and vertical positions (except for the RX 212/75, which only has an acoustic design horizontal use). The operating mode of the height speakers (passive or with two amplifiers) is easily selected on the external connection panel. The RX 112/75 and RX 115/75 also feature integrated 35mm mounting pins and can be used as floor-standing systems.

Series SX tm
Thanks to EV, lightweight, compact and powerful speakers with foam inserts, rounded contours, concave drivers and suspension points have become increasingly popular. Foam inserts provide a minimal level of resonance. The sensitivity of the SX systems (SX 300 and SX 500) reaches up to 100 dB/1 W/1 m (the SX 300 system has an interference neutralizer), and the PI(X) series is specially designed for use in open spaces. The unique shape of the Varipath tm loudspeaker allows the sound from the speaker to reach even the corners of rooms. Array brackets and dedicated mounting systems provide easy mounting of loudspeakers in a variety of configurations. The dimensions and location of the suspension points of the SX 100, SX 300 and Sb 121 models are identical, which ensures a unified appearance of the models in the series. The SX 80 models are made of high-strength monolithic polystyrene and are designed to be mounted on the SX 80 SM vertical stand, supplied separately. The black structured surface can be painted in a different color. Additional accessories can be used with the SX 100/300 and Sb 121 (SH Sx300 – protective cover and F200 – speaker stand). All appliances are protected by a perforated powder-coated metal grille mounted on a foam base.
